100% Design Singapore 2012
Experimental work showcase @ 100% Material curated by Chris Lefteri
Kindly invited by Chris Lefteri's team to participate and showcase a demonstration at the 100% Design Singapore 2012 - the first and only curated exhibition for design-led interiors in Southeast Asia, as one of the up-and-coming designers from Singapore.
With less than 16 hours to think and develop a simple experimental showcase, I started on my 10 hours challenge of creating something that shows how light and materials could interact and offer much opportunities to one another - K-Lamp.
Starting from scratch, from conceptualizing, to sketching, materials-gathering, machining, constructing and testing, I managed to construct a kaleidoscopic lamp, that functions like a microscope, allowing people to interact with the assortment of materials available and create visual effects of their preferences through light.
